The ELRS-R24-D is a 2.4 GHz ExpressLRS receiver developed by Matek Systems. Equipped with an ESP8285 microcontroller and SX1280/1281 RF chip, it delivers high-performance, long-range, and ultra-low-latency communication. Featuring true diversity with dual external IPEX antennas, this receiver provides stable and reliable signal reception for FPV drones, fixed-wing aircraft, and UAV systems.

5. Firmware and Binding

5.1. Firmware Configuration

  • Flash firmware via ExpressLRS Configurator.
  • Target: MATEK_2400_RX.
  • Enable “USE_DIVERSITY” for this model.
  • Update supported via UART or WiFi (built-in ESP8285).

5.2. Binding Procedure

  1. Power the receiver on and off three times to enter Bind mode (LED double flash).
  2. On the transmitter, select “Bind” in ExpressLRS menu.
  3. When connection is successful, LED becomes solid.

7. Notes

  • Ensure antennas are properly installed and not blocked by carbon or metal structures.

  • Do not flash R24-D with non-diversity firmware (R24-S version).
